Welcome to UploadBot. These Terms of Service ("ToS") govern your use of the UploadBot Discord bot ("the Bot"). By using the Bot, you agree to be bound by these ToS. If you do not agree with any part of these ToS, you must not use the Bot.
UploadBot is a Discord bot that re-hosts images and videos to third-party providers (currently ImgBB, Gyazo, and Catbox) so they get a clean, direct link. The Bot is provided to you free of charge, although certain features or functionality may change over time.
When using the Bot, you agree to the following:
- You will comply with all applicable laws and the Discord Terms of Service.
- You will not use the Bot for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including hosting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which is reported to the relevant authorities and hosting provider on sight.
- You will not attempt to exploit, hack, or disrupt the functionality of the Bot.
- You will not use the Bot to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- You will not spam or use the Bot to send unsolicited messages.
- You will not use the Bot in a way that violates the terms of service of ImgBB, Gyazo, or Catbox.
You are responsible for all content you submit through the Bot. By submitting content, you grant UploadBot a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, distribute, and display such content as needed to operate the Bot.
If UploadBot re-hosted something that infringes your copyright, contact us at uploadbot@proton.me with (1) a link to the re-hosted file, (2) a description of the original work, and (3) a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf. Because re-hosted files live with the third-party provider rather than with us, you may also need to file a takedown directly with that provider to have the file itself removed.
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Bot.
We may suspend or permanently ban any server's access to the Bot, at our sole discretion and with or without prior notice, when:
- We independently detect a violation of these ToS,
- A user, server member, or third party reports a violation, or
- Discord, ImgBB, Gyazo, Catbox, or another affected party requests that access be removed or content taken down.
A ban removes the Bot from the server immediately and blocks that server from re-adding it. Severe or illegal violations may be banned immediately without warning; other violations may receive a warning first at our discretion.
The Bot is not directed at children and may not be used by anyone under 13, in line with Discord's own Terms of Service.
The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In no event shall UploadBot, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Bot.
We reserve the right to update or modify these ToS at any time. Your continued use of the Bot after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new ToS.
